Sisters By Heart
Empowering patient and families affected by single ventricle heart defect: Volunteer led organization striving to help families dealing with a new single ventricle diagnosis. Our mission expands well beyond diagnosis, providing support, education, and empowerment to patients and families throughout the single ventricle lifespan. We provide care packages to make hospital stays easier and resources to help families better understand the single ventricle journey. All of our volunteers are moms, dads, and patients who have HLHS or other single ventricle defects, and who uniquely understand what you are going through. We are here to help!
Mended Heart
The Mended Hearts® program is the nation’s premier peer-support program for patients who have cardiovascular disease, their caregivers and their families. Since its humble beginning in 1951, Mended Hearts has served millions by providing support and education, bringing awareness to issues that those living with heart disease face, and advocating to improve quality of life across the lifespan. The Mended Hearts, Inc. (MHI) has hundreds of chapters and groups that are organized to serve the organization and their local communities. These chapters and groups are official entities of MHI and can raise funds for their chapter or group to serve their communities along with MHI.
